A thank you letter to the Father of my child
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I know I don't need to thank you for loving our child, but I still do. We are young and when we found out we were expecting we hadn't been together very long, you stepped up and didn't run, instead you ran towards building our family and you deserve so much praise. We didn't do things the 'traditional' way, however I would not change a thing about it. I love being a pea in our little pod.
You're doing the best you can (and that is more than enough). We have a unique situation but we made the absolute best out of what we have and I am so grateful for that. We argue, we fight and we really disagree like any other normal couple but we always talk it out, kiss and make up by the time it's bedtime. We've gone from zero-100 in the space of 16 months and you have taken everything in your stride. You keep me grounded and I thank you for that.
Thank you for working so hard for our child. I realize that it's extremely hard when you don't get to spend as many hours with him as I do. Freddie is so lucky to have such a hardworking daddy and amazing role model to look up to when he's older. I hope he aspires to work just as hard.
Hands on doesn't cover it. I couldn't have coped when we came home from hospital without you. I was so sore from the C-section and you just took control. You tucked me up in bed and tended to my every need whilst feeding, changing, winding, dressing and bonding with our baby. What would I have done without you darling?
Because of you, I am a superhero; a woman with so much strength, motivation and ambition. You make me feel like I'm doing a great job, even when I feel like a failure. Because of you, I am a mother, and for that I will forever be thankful.
